Over the past week new figures released by Eskom showed that the performance of their power stations have improved, although the reserve margin remains very small.
Eskom also said that more power was available because their summer maintenance plan continued.
Eskom's Hilary Joffe said they still needed residential customers to save power.
She added that the demand has picked up because people went back to work.
They will be keeping an eye on the demand.
