Learners excited to start school

Grade one pupils who attended school for the first time today said they cannot wait to start learning to read and write.
 
Most of the first time said they are excited about learning new things.

Teachers has said there would be no resting as new learners would be learning Afrikaans and the alphabet.

Independent schools have already prepared their timetables for the year ahead.
