Western Cape taxis caused more fatal crashes in December

The Western Cape traffic officials today said there had been an increase in fatal taxi accidents in December.

The taxi accidents made up 10% of the accidents in 2010 compared to last year`s 20% taxi accidents. 

Transport MEC Robin Carlisle said the significant increase in taxi accidents was concerning.

The number of people lost their lives on the Province`s taxi-related  accidents add up to 134.
