A woman died in a hit and run accident near Potchestroom

Vanessa Jackson said when paramedics arrived on scene they found the woman
badly injured, every attempt was made by advanced life support paramedics to
revive the woman, sadly her condition did not change and she died on the scene
a short while later.
A woman in her
30’s died when she was knocked down by an unknown vehicle. She is believed to
have been walking with a group of friends along the R54, approximately 3
kilometres outside of Potchefstroom from Vereeniging side.
“The woman's
friends were not injured as a result of the incident.
Local authorities
will be conducting all necessary investigations into the details surrounding the
cause of this fatal collision” Jackson
