The Special District Council welcomes the national statistics as

released by Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa.

South African Communist Party’s Media Liaison Masonwabe Sokoyi said they view the continuous decrease on crime as a result of the ANC prioritising crime in its 2009 people’s election manifesto.

Sokoyi said the DA policies oveer the last few years have not yielded positive results in fighting crime.

He further said the recently launched framework policy by the provincial government is the copy and paste of the ANC which was a Bambanani strategy to fight crime in the province.

Meanwhile the South African Communist Party in the Brian Bunting has vowed to ensure that the list process of the ANC is not a stage where people are liquidating the organisation to the highest bidder.

SACP Media Liaison Masonwabe Sokoyi said they hope the list process will produce a list of capable comrades who understand the role of the organisation in the society.

Masonwabe Sokoyi said hopefully the ANC will not compromise quality in the sense of quantity in electing candidates for next year.
