The Western Cape Department of Education today said it is pleased with the results of the mock exams.
Marking has commenced and the department is waiting on the results.
Ministerial
Spokesperson Bronagh Casey said during the exams there were no gang violence
incidents reported this as school in Manenberg had to be closed for two days
due to gang violence in the area.
Casey said it’s
very important that learners use these results to determine which subjects they
are struggling with so that they can focus on these areas up until the end of
year exams.
“We encourage that
they use the school holidays to study and also use material including going
through past exam papers which are available on the WCED website” Casey added.
