The African Christian Democratic Party in the Western Cape said that the confiscation of drugs and counterfeit goods means there are less merchandise on the streets which ultimately contributes to safer streets for the community.

ACDP Leader in the province Ferlon Christians said such major busts shows that there are police officers worth praising, in light of the bad publicity that the SAPS have received.

Christians said the community should stand together with the police in making sure that the crime rate is decreased to its minimal level.

He added that this shows that there are competent police officers that have given their lives in working for the community.
