The
Correctional Services Department has taken over the security of former
convicted national police chief Jackie Selebi.
Selebi is
currently been treated at the Steve Biko Academic Hospital
The medical
team claims that Selebi has end stage kidney disease and needs specialist care
which he cannot receive in a hospital prison.
Selebi
shall be transferred to the Pretoria Central Prison by the end of January 2012.
