The campaign to take unlicensed vehicles off the road is still underway. The operation is been run by Western Cape traffic officials. The areas that are been focused on are Beaufort West and along the N1.

40 unroadworthy vehicles have already been impounded this morning.

Progress on operation fatigue has also been achieved according to Traffic chief Kenny Africa. Drivers need to ensure that they are well rested as they embark on their journey.

In the Eastern Cape already 182 taxis were stopped because drivers were too tired to carry on with their journeys.
