Security experts say the cybercrime syndicate that stole 42-million-Rands from the Postbank over the first three days of this year had to have knowledge of the post office’s internet system.

The Sunday Times reports that the National Intelligence Agency is involved in the investigation of the theft.

The Postbank says none of its customers were affected by the hacking.

The bank spent over 15-million-Rands to upgrade its fraud-detection service three years ago.
