A fire destroys two refuse trucks

About seven refuse trucks have been damaged in a fire at the Sacks circle depot in Bellville South.

The fire completely destroyed two of the seven trucks.

The City of Cape Town’s Shehaam Sims said that there was a distribution box which caught fire which then led the fire to spread rapidly.

She added that this would not affect service delivery in the short term.
