Death toll rises in Western Cape

More than a dozen people have died in road deaths since the start of the new year says Western Cape traffic officials.

A freak accident that occurred in Clanwilliam on Thursday has left nine people dead while twenty one people were travelling in the bakkie.

Officials will be clamping down on transport that contains large amounts of people.

The Western Cape traffic department urges travellers to be safe on the roads as lives could be in danger.
