Yesterday as the first school day ended, many learners felt relieved to be back after the long holiday.
Ashanti Hendricks who attends Manenberg Primary School said that this year is particularly significant for her because it is her last year of primary school.
She added that she could not wait for school to start because she missed her friends and teachers.
The shy grade seven learner however said that she was not looking forward to going to high school next year.
