Today Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane told learners at Diepsloot that there is going to be zero tolerance of drinking at school and staying away from classes.
She continued to say that the students should dedicate they time to their school work, not leisure activities. She directed this especially to the matric class saying that matric dances should be the last thing on their minds.
The Premier was addressing hundreds of parents and pupils at the official reopening of the Itirele-Zenzele Secondary School in Diepsloot.
MEC Barbara Creecy Mokonyane and several other officials of the Gauteng government accompanied Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane.
