A 16 year old boy was struck by a train in Durban

A sixteen year-old boy was killed by a train in Tongaat near the Flamingo Train station in Durban on Friday.

The Accident occurred when the boy tried to take a short cut home from school shortly after receiving his school report.

Netcare Limited Spokesperson Chris Botha said the boy was treated at the scene and transported to the Noksi Albert Luthuli Hospital for further care.

Botha said he died on his arrival at the hospital.
