15 people injured after a taxi collides with wall in Johannesburg

15 people were injured this morning after a taxi drove down an embankment and collided with a wall at the South African and Anglo Road intersection in Cosmos City, Johannesburg.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said, “ER 24 paramedics responded to the scene along with fire services. Upon our arrival we found the taxi wedged between the embankment wall and building. 

On the assessment we found that 15 people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no one had sustained any serious injuries.”

The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
