The Democratic Alliance is concerned with Parliaments decision to cancel three parliamentary committee meetings this week.

The DA released a statement saying that the party will continue to challenge these decisions and ones like them in the National Assembly Programming Committee and make every effort to ensure that Parliaments work and the needs of the nation are prioritised.

DA Deputy Chief Whip Mike Waters said “Despite out objection, the ANC has repeatedly abused its majority in committees such as Programming Committee to stall Parliament’s work and delay debate in the National Assembly on crucial topics such as critical state of our economy and President Zuma’s impeachment.”
