On Monday, the Western Cape MEC of Health, Nomafrench
Mbombo opened the new and upgraded Community Health Centre in Du Noon.
The centre will provide accessible healthcare packages
to a community of approximately ninety thousand members from Du Noon including
the surrounding areas.
The Du Noon Community Health Centre has been
operational since 15 December 2014 and has been receiving a growing number of
clients from various cultural backgrounds.
The MEC’s spokesperson Monique Johnson said, “The
operating hours of the facility will be from 7:30am till 16:00pm from Monday to
Friday and it has recently extended its emergency centres hours from 7:30pm to
8:00pm from Monday to Thursday. It’s part of the additional services that the
new facility provides. And they also recently extended their emergency hours
from Saturday to Sunday from 7:30am to 3pm .”
