 Northern Cape farm owners are forced to give workers regular breaks after a deadly heatwave. The minister of Agriculture Mase Manopole has confirmed that seven farm workers in the Kakamas area died this week due to suspected heat stroke.

The Gift of the Givers was called by community leaders and residents from Kakamas.

According to Emily Thomas from Gift of the Givers, they went to give bottled water and JoJo tanks yesterday evening athough the municipality has a water source, they needed the JoJo tanks to increase water availability in multiple areas.
