The Democratic Alliance said it has
laid a charge with the Polokwane Police this is after one of its members was
attacked and stabbed allegedly by SASCO members.
The incident took place during SRC
election vote counting procedures at the Tshwane University of Technology’s
Polokwane campus on Tuesday.
DA Youth Leader Mbali Ntuli said the Democratic
Alliance Students’ Organisation was showing a significant increase on campus.
DASO members were singing and dancing to
celebrate the good results when they were attack by SASCO members.
“We will not tolerate people being intimidated and not given their democratic right to support which ever party they wish.” Ntuli said
Ntuli added that The DA youth will
follow up on this matter and urges the Polokwane Police to take steps against the
members of SASCO.
