Lindiwe Sisulu: Women must take the lead in fighting women and child abuse

The Public Service and Administration Minister Lindiwe Sisulu has called on South African women in the legal fraternity to use the law as a weapon against all forms of injustice in the country.

Sisulu was addressing the annual Law Society of the Northern Provinces Women’s Conference aimed at promoting women in the legal profession.

Ministerial Spokesperson Ndivhuwo Mabaya explains that as part of the celebrations of the achievement of women in, in woman’s month the minister raised a number of issues with them.

“One of them being that women should lead in the fight against women and children abuse, using the courts and also as advocates they must defend poor people to makes sure that those who continue to commit these painful crimes are brought to book,” added Mabaya.
