Suspects appear in court on various charges of robbery

Two suspects are today appearing in court this is after they attacked, assaulted and robbed a 23-year-old man of R1 800 on Wednesday last week. 

The two men are aged 26 and 28-years-old. 

Sergeant Hilton Malila said according to the complainant he was confronted by two men in front of a popular night club and robbed him. The complainant identified one of the suspects through photo albums at the police station.

Malila added that the detectives have indicated that they intend to oppose the bail application of the two suspects.

Meanwhile in another case four suspects are appearing in court today on charges of theft. 

It is believed that the suspects were caught trying to remove wheels from a parked motor vehicle in Durham Avenue. 

The arrest took place last week while police were busy with crime prevention patrols in the area. 

Sergeant Hilton Malila said upon the officers` arrival they spotted two men between the ages of 17 and 21 years-old, moving away from the Jetta.

Malila further said the detectives are working around the clock trying to find out whether the suspects are linked to similar reported cases within the precinct.
