Minister of Home Affairs Naledi Pandor on Thursday hosted a session with refugee women in South Africa.

Refugee women had the opportunity to interact with both Minister Pandor and Deputy Minister Cohen regarding challenges they and their children are faced with as refugees in South Africa.

Minister Pandor said more needs to be done by government to tackle issues that face refugee women in the country.

Pandor further said we are looking to reshape our policies and deal with particular circumstances they are confronted with. We would like to have next year an international conference that gives attention to refugees particularly women refugees.
