School principal arrested for sexual assault in Knysna

The Southern Cape Police have arrested 51-Year-old vice principal in connection with sexual assault on 12-year-old learner.

The school principal was arrested in Knysna.

Southern Cape Police Spokesperson Malcom Pojie said the 51-year-old suspect appeared in the Knysna magistrates’ court on Friday.

Pojie said he was remanded in custody pending a formal bail application that will be held on 29 August 2013 at the Knysna magistrates’ court.

The police say their investigation continues.
