The African National Congress Spokesperson Jackson Mthembu said they are very concerned about the alleged arson attack on its headquarters Luthuli House.

A fire broke out at the reception area on Tuesday evening.  It is believed that the fire destroyed the reception area.

Mthembu said that is fortunate that the security personnel were able to put the fire and flames out using extinguishers.

“We are very concerned that this happened, police have been called in and they are investigating who might have brought explosives to the house,” added Mthembu.
