The South African Communist Party in the Western Cape said it condemns the conduct of SAPS members in West Coast, Malmesbury police station.

This is after an incident which took place on the 12th of August this year, whereby two officers allegedly refused to investigate a case of a woman who was held hostage and sexually assaulted by her ex-boyfriend for the whole weekend.

SACP Provincial Spokesperson Masonwabe Sokoyi said they are disappointed by the conduct of Malmesbury Police station.

“We call on the SAPS in the Province to act decisively and charge those responsible for this” Sokoyi added.
