The management of the South African Police Service says it has decided to redeploy the Crime Intelligence management with effect from the 28th of last month.
Spokesperson Nonkululeko Mbatha says the move follows internal processes and interventions that needed to be expedited objectively.
Mbatha says the SAPS does not wish to conduct its internal matters in the media and has appealed to the press to allow processes to unfold accordingly.
Furthermore, the organisation will not be drawn into media debates on information received from unknown sources and allegations.
No speculation will be entertained.
