Detective drives recklessly

A North West police detective will appear in court on Tuesday after being caught speeding on the N-4 highway in the North West.

The man was caught between Zeerust and Swartruggens.

The 37-year-old officer, who is based at the Mmabatho police station, was allegedly traveling 151-kilometres an hour in a 100-kilometre zone.

He was driving an official vehicle. The man is also accused of overtaking on a barrier line and forcing oncoming traffic off the road.
