Urge to save electricity

Eskom has announced that while its systems have improved since Monday, residential households are still not cutting their use of power consumption.

Eskom said bigger organisations have helped out by slowing down on their electricity consumption.

Some companies have given in to a warning from Eskom that its systems were running on a very tight reserve margin as it carried out maintenance on several power stations.

Ordinary households need to do their part in switching off uneccessary lights and appliances that are not in use.
