The Minister of Women,Children and People with Disability,Minister Lulu Xingwana today had a press conference in Pretoria. Xingwana responded to the Democratic Alliance call that her Department is delivering to its mandate.

She also clarified on the 1.1million rand that delegates from her department had spent while attending a conference in New York.

Xingwana stated that the delegation was from deferent departments and their departments had covered the expenses.

Xingwana admitted that her department has never got a clear audit since it was instituted.

She said that the reason for this is because the department is only 3 years old and she had to hire people to implement programmes aimed at improving the lives of women and children.
