The Gauteng provincial government damned the killing of one of the Gauteng traffic police this week.

30-year-old inspector Ravelino Solomons was shot and killed on Friday just 100 metres away from the Hillbrow police station.

A 32-year-old taxi driver was arrested for his murder after his taxi licence was taken by police.

The suspect is due to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrates Court tomorrow.
