A message of solidarity was delivered on Monday by International Relations and Cooperation Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane on the Opening Ceremony of the 7th Ordinary Session of the Second Pan-African Parliament (PAP).
Nkoana-Mashabane said as South Africa we share the common concern expressed by many on our continent that the pace accession to the charter has been far from satisfactory.
She added that they encourage more member states to do the right thing and to join everyone who has rectified the charter.
Nkoana-Mashabane said the charter must be given effect by domesticating it and making sure we have true meaning of it.
