Hlokomela: take care

Hlokomela is an initiative that was created by the South African National Taxi Council working together with the provincial transport department to curb road deaths.

Santaco’s Chairperson Vernon Billet explains that as SANTACO they want to make sure that there are fewer fatalities on the roads and also ensure that the roads are much safer than they were before.

It is noticeable that in the past two years the province has the least fatalities, from the taxi industries side.

And that our taxis are much safer than before, it is because of this Hlokomela programme that encourages us to take care of our pedestrians, all other road users and also take of our commuters and we must always be aware of accidents at all times.
