The North West Premier Thandi Modise has sent
her condolences to the families of the three people who lost their lives and
those over 50 houses in the heavy rains.
The torrential rains and heavy storms hit
several villages across the province on Tuesday.
The Premier’s
Spokesperson Lesiba Kgwele said the Department Human Settlements has been
activated to conduct assessments of damage.
Kgewle also said the South African Social
Security Agency is on standby to provide emergency food grants to the affected
household.
