Two adults and four children were killed in a head-on collision near Touws River on Thursday morning.

Western Cape traffic chief Kenny Africa said a car was driving along the N1 from Cape Town when it collided with a truck.

The truck was traveling from Beaufort West when the collision occurred on the notorious road of death.

Africa said that the road was closed for a couple of hours.

“We would like to urge motorists, especially when taking long trips, to make sure they are well rested before starting their journey and to stop every 200 km or two hours” he added.
