It has been reported that by 8:20 this morning, voting stations in some parts of Cape were not opened yet.
This included Sinethemba High School and St Johns Church in Philippi. However, Bush Radio’s Correspondent Siviwe Makeleni is at the venues and he reports that IEC officials say police were not available to escort IEC officials and voting material.
This, however has left many potential voters impatient in the areas.
Meanwhile, In Strandfontein, Bush Radio’s Correspondent Brenda Leonard says everything is running smoothly.
Leonard reports live at the voting station stating that there is about 20-30 people queuing.
She says everything is in order.
