Two suspects arrested for the Khayelitsha mass murder

The Western Cape Serious Violent Crime detectives made a breakthrough as two suspects were arrested in connection to the mass murder in Khayelitsha. According to the police the suspects are men that are 24 and 28-years-old.

Gunmen at a barber shop on Saturday afternoon in Qwarha Street in Site C, Khayelitsha. Three children aged 5, 11 and 12 as well as a 30-year-old men died from the shooting and seven others were seriously injured. Two other individuals were unharmed.

The arrest revealed that the suspects are linked to nine attempted murders charges.

With the investigation unfolding, the possibility of more arrests and further charges being pursued cannot be ruled out” said Brigadier Novela Potelwa Western Cape spokesperson.
