The Democratic Alliance said it has received confirmation from Eskom that it will handover documents regarding contractual agreements with contractors at the Medupi Power Plant.

DA’s Michael Mpofu said they welcome this step and trusts that all relevant contractors and stakeholders will comply by making all the contractual agreements available for scrutiny.

Mpofu added that the DA received information from Eskom that it has informed all the contractors at the Medupe Power plant in terms of section 47 of PAAI that they need to make all the documents or records available as per hour application.

“We are happy about this because it will help us to scrutinize and analyze whether any contractors were responsible for the delays in the construction”. Mpofu added
