Four unknown males walked up to 31 year old Melikhaya Mtati and shot him point blank in the head, in Tsunami informal settlement in Delft yesterday.
According to Captain Joe Wilson, the Investigating police Officer cannot determine the motive for the attack and there seem to get very little cooperation from the public in that vicinity.
Wilson says the deceased subsequently died on the scene and that the attack occurred in broad daylight and someone should have witnessed the incident.
The deceased stayed in Tsunami and was visiting his brother when he was shot who stayed in another section.
Anyone with information is requested to contact the Investigating Officer, Detective Constable Pieter BONTHUYS at Delft (T) 021 954 9000 or (C) 082 411 3087.
