Eskom has announced that on Friday there would be no power disruptions over the weekend despite two units at the Koeberg power station being forced to shut down.
There were fears of outages because the country’s only power supply was under strain, so the Premier of the Western Cape Lynne Brown met with Eskom’s general manager Peter Sebola.
Premier’s spokesperson, An Wentzel says at the meeting with the premier, Eskom’s general manager Mr Sebola confirmed that the supply of the electricity in the province is stable.
Wentzel says the premier has urge people to use electricity wisely not to leave lights on.
