The Election Monitoring Network says it has recorded more than 40 incidents of election-related conflicts across the country.
The Network says these incidents threaten to derail the election process, but has stopped short of naming and shaming those behind the violence.
“The Network is concerned that political tensions take place in predominantly black communities, which entrenches the stereotype that such communities are prone to violence.’’
