The transport union Satawu has confirmed that a national protected strike by around 30-thousand workers in the road freight and logistics industry will start on Tuesday next week or unless a pay dispute with employers can be solved at the last minute.
General Secretary Randall Howard says some progress has been made with negotiations about wage increases for certain categories of drivers, but other issues remain unresolved.
It is feared that deliveries, including that of fuel, could be affected before the Easter weekend.
