AfriForum’s youth national chairperson Charl Oberholzer recently braaied for more than 33 hours in aid of mother-tongue education.

He broke the world record for the world’s longest braai.

Oberholzer said they asked companies to sponsor one hour of the record.

He added that the money will be used to protect schools from government interference in Afrikaans schools.

Oberholzer added that they did the record around Freedom Day to celebrate culture and to make young people excited about what can be possible in South Africa.
