The DA announced today they will continue fighting for the implementation of the Youth Wage Subsidy to help unemployed young people in South Africa.
They launched a campaign using various strategies including meetings with President Jacob Zuma, The National Economic Development and Labour Council and a public education Campaign.
DA Leader Helen Zille says they will use the success of the wage and skills programme in the Western Cape to show that the wage subsidy could work at national level.
She also stresses that Cosatu’s worry of older workers being replaced is unfounded.
