Tomorrow the Transport and Public Works Minister Robin Carlisle and Education Minister Donald Grant will be monitoring one of the entrance areas to the Golden Acre Shopping centre where learners pass each morning on their way to school from the train station.
Minister Grant has been monitoring late-coming events at schools in the city centre and many of the learners have complained that late trains were the cause of their late arrival at schools.
Many learners from the city schools travel from areas such as Gugulethu , Nyanga Langa and Khayelitsha.
According Bronagh Casey the Minister’s spokesperson the Minister will be assessing if late trains have an effect on late coming in city schools.
