These included 200 parcels of dagga found in the car boot of a Rawsonville man at a roadblock.

Captain FC van Wyk said that 58 stolen vehicles were recovered and in their efforts 577 houses were searched and 268 road blocks conducted, from which 1 991 fines were issued to the value of R412 550.

Abalone seizures came to 7372 pieces.

Van Wyk added that with the festive season on our doorstep, criminals can expect the frequency of an encounter with a police officer to increase considerable as it is their endeavour to cover the entire province and ensure a peaceful holiday.
