Minister Pule must withdraw appointment from ICASA councillor charged with fraud

The Democratic Alliance today said Communication Minister Dina Pule must take legal steps to withdraw the appointment of Rubben Mohlaloga, to the council of the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa.
It is alleged that Mohlaloga has been charged with defrauding the Land Bank of 6 million-Rand.
DA’s Shadow Minister of Communications Marian Shinn said that if there is a charge of fraud over him, he needs to withdraw or the Minister must find some way to replace him to withdraw his name from the shortlist that has been approved by parliament.
Shinn adds that it is obvious that they were unaware of the criminal charge against him.
It probably hadn’t been made at the time at the time that he was before parliament but now that it is known Shinn said that steps should be taken to remove him from the list.

There cannot be someone whose integrity is in doubt serving on the ICASA council.
