seven year old boy from Thembalethu's body found

 The search for the missing 5 year old boy who went missing in Thembalethu last Thursday has been called off, after the boy’s body was discovered not far from where he was last seen.

The boy who was last seen playing with friends close to his home in Zone 5 was dressed in a blue t- shirt, black pants and blue takkies at the time of his disappearance. 

Captain Bernadine Steyn adds that the boy’s body was discovered yesterday afternoon around half past three at a river about 2 km from where he was last seen.

He was found by two boys passing by.

Steyn adds that an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of the boy’s death.

Police have opened an inquest docket for futher investigations.

 Follow up investigations confirm that the boy went swimming with his friends after which he then disappeared into the water.
