Western Cape Traffic officials conducted 24
roadblocks across the province over the weekend.
3 539 vehicles were stopped and
checked, 1 114 drivers were tested for alcohol.

said two people died on the province roads this past weekend.
The highest speed recorded this weekend was
183km/h in a 120 km/h zone in Beaufort West.
“The total amount of fines issued this
weekend was R198 100, we also prosecuted 354 drivers for exceeding the
speed limit” Africa said.
