Vlaeberg and Lynedoch Roads completed

Today MEC of Transport and Public Works, Donald Grant, and Mayor of the Stellenbosch Municipality Conrad Sidego, will officially open the Vlaeberg and Lynedoch Roads in Stellenbosch.

Ministerial spokesperson Siphesihle Dube said MEC Grant and Mayor Sidego will take over the official ribbon-cutting ceremony. MEC Grant will also deliver the key note address focussed on the project and its various milestone.

Dube added that This R157 million project has been an example of partnerships between various stakeholders, and will not only see improved access for motorists, but also improved levels of safety with 8 level crossings having been eliminated as part of the project.


“The project has been two years in the making, having begun in July 2013. The project is likely to have far-reaching economic benefits for the greater Stellenbosch area, in the many years to come” Dube said.
